YIG Delegate Meetings
Students will meet weekly from 3:30-4:30 PM in the Media Center, unless otherwise announced. Students will be spending this time working with their Bill Partners to research, write bills, and prepare speeches for the YIG conference in November. Participants are expected to come to at least one meeting a week. If participating in other after-school activities with schedule conflicts, please talk with Mrs. Wylie or Mrs. Peake.
As we near the conference date and bills are submitted, we will transition from writing and research to procedural speech and debate practice. These meeting times may run until 5:00 PM to better help prepare for the conference.

Parent Meetings
We will have two parent meetings for YIG: one at the start of the school year to explain what YIG is and what to expect from your child participating, and one the week prior to the conference to go over some necessary information prior to our overnight travels.
We ask that parents make every effort to attend these two meetings. If unable to attend, please reach out to Mrs. Wylie or Mrs. Peake prior to the meeting so that we can supply you with all necessary information.
