CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS AND PROCEDURES:
All students must wear an ID badge.
ALL students must abide by the dress code. This includes:
No hoods are permitted at all.
Dress code pants (no jeans unless we are having a reward/dressdown day)
Dress code top - no midriff or undergarments visible - no tying shirts up to make them tighter.
Shoes must have backs or straps and remain on your feet during class. No slides are permitted.
As per SC state law, cell phones must be put away and off in students' backpacks from 7:30-3:30 daily.
No wireless (Bluetooth) headphones are allowed during the school day. Please keep them at home to prevent damage or loss. If headphones are brought to school, they must be off and put away before coming on the hall at the start of the day.
ALL students must practice the 3 R's: Rights of others, Respect for others, Responsibility for learning
PROCEDURES for NON-INSTRUCTIONAL ROUTINES:
Students are expected to be on time and to have all assignments and materials needed for the class.
Attendance is taken at the beginning of the class period.
If a student comes in after attendance is taken, they will be marked tardy for class. If they have a pass, it is an excused tardy; without a pass is an unexcused tardy,
As students enter the room, they should get their materials needed for the day, sharpen their pencils, be seated, and begin completing the assigned bell work. Roll is taken at the beginning of the day, and tardies are noted. Students are asked not to go to the restroom during the first 5 minutes and the last 5 minutes of class unless it is an emergency.
Parents, teachers, and students work together to promote learning. It is important to me to communicate with you on a regular basis concerning your child’s progress in learning the required concepts and standards. Please feel free to call me at any time.
