• To what extent did economic factors contribute to the emergence of your leader

• Evaluate the impact the economy contributed to the emergence of your leader

• Compare and contrast the importance of propaganda to the emergence of your leader

• Evaluate the impact that Propaganda had on the emergence of your leader

• Compare and contrast the importance of the use of force on the emergence of your leader

• Evaluate the impact that Force had on the emergence of your leader

• Discuss the state of the Political landscape when your leader came to power. “Weak political systems were the most significant factor in the emergence of authoritarian states.”  

• To what extent did the weaknesses of political systems lead to the emergence of Your leader

• To what extent was ideology the most important factor in the emergence of your leader

• Evaluate the impact of your person's Ideology had on the emergence of your leader

• To what extent did social division contribute to the emergence of your leader

• To what extent did war contribute to the emergence of your leader

• Evaluate the impact of war on the emergence of your leader

2. Consolidation and maintenance

• To what extent did you leader need to consolidate the country and his rule to maintain control

• Compare and contrast the methods used to maintain power by your leader

• “The domestic policies of authoritarian states rarely benefitted women.” Discuss how your leader keep women down

• To what extent was authoritarian control achieved in your state

• “Social and economic policies in authoritarian states did not always achieve their aims.” Discuss how this two did not reach the desired effect  

• Evaluate the impact of domestic economic policies on the maintenance of power in your authoritarian state. 

• Compare and contrast the impact of the policies of your authoritarian state on women. 

• “The treatment of opposition was the most important factor in the maintenance of power. Discuss how this was done in your authoritarian state.  

• Evaluate the impact of social policies in your authoritarian state. 

• Evaluate the impact of cultural policies in your authoritarian state.

• “Full authoritarian control could not be achieved.” With reference to your state, to what extent do you agree with this statement?
