The aim of this class is the ensure a successful and rewarding transition into the high school classroom and to prepare the student for their sophomore year and the EOC. My goal for each student in the classroom is to improve in the areas of reading, writing, and grammar to guarantee success in the classroom and beyond.

The major expectations of this class is respect and motivation. Students will be respected and are asked to respect themselves, adults (including their teacher), their peers, and Wade Hampton High School. This nurtures a positive classroom environment where everyone can thrive in academic, and social facets and help everyone to flourish. Although we all experience ebbs and flows, I do expect all of my students to be motivated to pass and be successful. I will encourage each student to determine what that looks like for them and we will work together to move ever closer to that goal, with the ultimate motivation for their high school career being graduation! I look forward to how much we will both grow, this semester!
