Meet the teacher/conozca a la maestra

Thanks for taking the time to read a little bit about me! This is my 22nd year teaching! I spent ten of those years as a first grade teacher in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. After that, I ran a STEAM Lab utilizing LEGO and engineering challenges for students in K-5th grade. I earned my undergraduate degree from Converse College and my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University. I am excited to be at Welcome Elementary and back in the first grade classroom, where I am passionate about teaching students to read and master Math concepts.

My hobbies include painting, camping, and going to the gym to work out. I love coffee entirely too much. I love traveling as well. But most of all, I love teaching!

I'm the mom of two beautiful children, aged 16 and 13years. We enjoy camping, traveling, and a good family game night or movie night!

I look forward to helping your children advance in their educational goals.

Pasé diez de esos años como maestra de primer grado en el condado de Spartanburg, Carolina del Sur. Después, dirigí un laboratorio STEAM con LEGO y desafíos de ingeniería para estudiantes de kínder a quinto grado. Obtuve mi licenciatura en Converse College y mi maestría en Currículo e Instrucción en la Universidad de Concordia. Estoy emocionada de estar en la Escuela Primaria Welcome y de regreso en el aula de primer grado, donde me apasiona enseñar a los estudiantes a leer y dominar los conceptos matemáticos.

Mis pasatiempos incluyen pintar, acampar e ir al gimnasio a hacer ejercicio. Me encanta el café. También me encanta viajar. Pero sobre todo, ¡me encanta enseñar!

Soy mamá de dos hermosos hijos de 16 y 13 años. Disfrutamos acampar, viajar y disfrutar de una buena noche de juegos o películas en familia.

Espero poder ayudar a sus hijos a avanzar en sus metas educativas.
