This is my fourteenth year teaching, and my first at Travelers Rest High School. I have taught in Baltimore, MD, Washington D.C., Cleveland, OH, and taught last year in downtown Greenville. I have taught a variety of Honors, AP, IB, and on-level classes throughout the field of social studies. I have two wonderful daughters (Teagan and Olivia), a beautiful wife, and a service dog named Bear (y'all may get to meet him!). I am very happy and excited to teach at TR this school year and can't wait to have each and everyone of my students achieve success this year.
Mr. Henslee’s 20 years of teaching experience includes courses in Biology (1 and 2), Anatomy & Physiology, AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, and for 4 years, IB Biology. Since joining the TRHS faculty in 2002, and returning to it this year, after 12 years away, he has also coached Soccer goalies for (3 years), been department chair for (6 years), and Head Beta Club advisor for (7 years).
Mr. Henslee wants to see students succeed not only in their high school endeavors but also in reaching the goals they set for their future. The IB Diploma Programme is a reliable predictor for future success. When he’s not at work, he enjoys family, sports, movies, books, and gaming.
