What is Reading Intervention?

The goal of reading intervention is to provide specific, targeted instruction to students who are reading below grade-level expectation in order to close the gap between the student's reading level and what is expected.

Reading lessons are specifically designed to target a student's weakness in a specific area of reading. These different areas of reading can be seen in the image of Scarborough's Reading Rope, as shown below.
