Congratulations to Riverside High School as it had 16 students earn an AP (Advanced Placement) Capstone Diploma in 2025-26. To earn this honor, a student must earn at least a "3" on their AP Research and AP Seminar Exams and then earn at least a "3" on four other AP Exams. This is an amazing accomplishment. Congratulations students and teachers.

Due to the new enforcement of the SC Smart Snack guidelines during school hours, the RHS School Store menu has changed. PTSA Board members have done their best to interpret the standards and modify the menu to replace most unapproved items with more nutritional options. They are no longer allowed to sell sugared sodas or candy. To alleviate the potential decrease in sales, they have added a “School Store Donation” item to the menu. If a student makes a $10 donation to the Store, they will receive 5 incentive tokens, each good for one $2 soda or $2 candy bar. Do the math – it’s a $10 donation for 5 - $2 incentive item tokens. These donations can only be made at the school store.

Exemptions to these new mandates are during StuCo fundraiser weeks, as well as all Advisory Days (every other Wednesday). The store will also be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45-4:15pm (when volunteers are available) with a full menu to provide snacks for students in after-school activities.

School Store is scheduled to open on Tuesday, Sept 8. In order to keep its doors open, volunteers are needed! It’s a great way to see the culture of our school and see your kids in their element. Consider volunteering even just once, or even better, once a month. We will train you! Sign up HERE.
