A historic day for the Pride of Riverside Band Program! Not only did we attend our first ever BOA event and make finals, but we are in awe of placing 6th in finals competition. This band has been raising the standard and it is just getting better every day!
Congratulations to the Riverside High School Speech & Debate Team for winning the 2025 North Mecklenburg Viking Classic Speech and Debate Tournament held at North Mecklenburg High School in Huntersville, N.C. The event featured competition from 413 high school students representing 21 schools and two states. In addition to winning the overall sweepstakes award several students won individual championships: Keris Garcia in Novice Reading, Cata Jara Parada in Humorous Interpretation, Tanvi Chelasani in Original Oratory, Kenneth Zalewski in Extemporaneous Speaking, Juliana Lopez Africano in Program Oral Interpretation, Adith Reddy in Novice House Congressional Debate, Enyo Toklo in Expository Speaking, and the team of Artem Feno and Sash Sivaraman won Duo Interpretation.
