Greenville County Schools and offices are closed for Thanksgiving Break next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
4 Time State Champions - Congratulations to the Riverside High School Virtual Enterprise Team as it won its 4th-Consecutive State Championship Wednesday during its competition at Middle Tennessee State University. The Warriors are competing in more categories Thursday and hope to bring home additional awards. Congratulations to the VE Team and Coach/Adviser Brad Redd.
State Champion - Congratulations to Riverside High School Senior Ty Jones as he won the Class AAAAA, Division 2 State Championship Thursday at the Farm Course in Newberry. Jones finished with a time of 15:54.19.
Clemson and Carolina are getting ready to face off on the football field over Thanksgiving, but the Battle of the Bins Donation Drive has been battling it out for a few weeks here at RHS. USC has taken the lead in item donations, but Clemson’s cash and online donations continue to keep them in the winner’s circle. The VA is currently trying to place nine veterans into apartments before the end of the year and we really need your help to make this happen. Collections have slowed down quite a bit. We are only at 1/4 of the donations we’ve received in the past. Red Cross and PTSA volunteers are taking the entire Thanksgiving week off, but they will be back for the final week of collections starting Monday, December 2nd. Please take time over Thanksgiving to consider helping to get these nine vets into housing before the temperatures really drop. Check out some pictures of our volunteers moving several Vets into new homes. Visit RHSPTSA.com for a list of needs or to make an online donation. Students will receive service hours for any donations made through December 6th.
Fall Semester Exam Schedule - Please see the attached exam schedule for all End of Course and Final Exams.
Makeup EOC Exams - If a student misses their scheduled EOC Exam, they should be prepared to take that exam the following day.
Virtual School EOC Dates - 12/3 (English 2 Writing), 12/5 (English 2 Reading), 12/10 (Biology 1), 12/11 (US History), 12/12 (Algebra 1)
Please contact your teacher if you have any questions/concerns.
Graduation Date! - The Riverside High School Class of 2025 will graduate on Friday, May 23 at 8:00 a.m. at Bon Secours Wellness Arena. Please click the link for all graduation information.
We Are Thankful for Our Volunteers
November is here and with it is a reminder of how thankful we are for our volunteers. Several of you continue to step up! In this busy month, we would love to have a few new volunteers join us in the mix. If you can find it in your heart to help, this is a great month to join us! The annual Veteran’s Day Battle of the Bins needs two PTSA volunteers to assist the Red Cross Club Students nearly every morning from 8-8:40am beginning November 11. Volunteer HERE. And our Hospitality committee will need help with our International Luncheon on November 21. Keep an eye out for that Sign Up. And we always need volunteers in our School Store. Thank you for your support!
