We Are Thankful for Our Volunteers
November is here and with it is a reminder of how thankful we are for our volunteers. Several of you continue to step up! In this busy month, we would love to have a few new volunteers join us in the mix. If you can find it in your heart to help, this is a great month to join us! The annual Veteran’s Day Battle of the Bins needs two PTSA volunteers to assist the Red Cross Club Students nearly every morning from 8-8:40am beginning November 11. Volunteer HERE. And our Hospitality committee will need help with our International Luncheon on November 21. Keep an eye out for that Sign Up. And we always need volunteers in our School Store. Thank you for your support!
Support the 3rd Annual Battle of the Bins Donation Drive benefiting homeless veterans in our community. The non-profit Veterans Are Heroes is in need of new and gently used household items and furniture, as well as monetary donations, to help turn transitional housing for struggling vets into furnished homes. Just like the upcoming rival football game, you choose your favorite team to support when making your donation - Clemson or Carolina. We will announce the "winning" team at our home basketball game on December 6th.
Donations can be dropped in the appropriate "bin" each morning in the T-Mall beginning November 11th. Do students need service hours? PTSA has agreed to sign off on 1 service hour in exchange for monetary or item donations for participating clubs and societies. Refer to your club or society regarding amount required for each hour. For details on items needed or to make an online or PayPal donation, check out the RHS PTSA website. With the upcoming holidays and colder weather, we thank you for your assistance in keeping our struggling veterans off the streets.
