Congratulations to the Riverside High School Boys Varsity Soccer Team as it defeated Catawba Ridge, 4-3, in Penalty Kicks Saturday night to win the Class AAAAA, Division 2 Upper State Championship. The Warriors will now play Lucy Beckham for a chance at their fifth consecutive state championship. The match will be played at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Columbia. 

Good Luck to the Riverside High School Boys Golf Team as it competes at the Class AAAAA, Division 2 State Championships Monday and Tuesday at the Cliffs at Mountain Park Golf Course. 

Coach Kevin Wyatt was introduced last week as the new head girls basketball coach at Riverside High School during a press conference at the end of the school day. Wyatt has spent the last 18 years as an assistant coach at Byrnes High School. He has spent time with both the boys and girls basketball teams. He helped lead the boys team to a state championship in 2016. He has also served as the Rebels’ cross-country coach. Riverside High School is very excited to welcome Coach Wyatt.
