The Riverside High School Varsity Boys Tennis Team fell, 4-2, to Myrtle Beach Saturday in the Class AAAAA, Division 2 State Championship. It was an Odyssey of a day as the Warriors were scheduled to play at Noon at the Cayce Tennis Center; however, due to the inclement weather, the match was moved indoors at the University of South Carolina. The match did not begin until 3:00 p.m. It was the 3rd consecutive year that the two teams played for the state championship with the Warriors winning last year. Riverside returns all of its starters next year. Congratulations on an amazing season to the players and to Coach Heather Gage and staff.
