The Riverside High School Girls Varsity Basketball Team split with Byrnes and Spartanburg High Schools this past week. The Warriors are 13-6 overall and 5-2 in Region 2-AAAAA. The Warriors host Dorman Tuesday and then play at Wade Hampton Friday.
The Riverside High School Varsity Boys Basketball fell at No. 2 Byrnes, 85-81, in Double Overtime this week before falling to Spartanburg at home. The Warriors are 13-6 overall and 5-2 in Region 2-AAAAA. The Warriors host Dorman Tuesday and then play at Wade Hampton Friday.
Congratulations to Senior Omar Ani as he took 2nd Place at 165 pounds Monday to help lead Riverside High School to a 7th Place finish at the Annual Greenville County Championships at Eastside High School. Junior Mynor Solares finished in 3rd Place at 157 pounds, while Freshman Gatlin Parr and Sophomore Drew Zumbach finished in 4th Place at 144 and 106 pounds, respectively. The Warriors finish their Dual Meet schedule on Monday night at Boiling Springs. Riverside will compete at the Region 2-AAAAA Tournament Wednesday at Eastside High School.
