We are Excellent!!! - Riverside High School earned an "Excellent" Rating on its 2024-25 School Report Card with an amazing score of 79.48. The Warriors have increased its score every year since 2018 and also earned an "Excellent" rating in many categories. We are so proud of our school's success and want to thank our students, teachers, parents and community for their hard work in helping us Reach Higher Standards.
What a Great Day! Congratulations to Riverside High School teachers Dr. Meagan Wagner, Jon Moldovan and Haley Powell as they were honored at the annual Greenville County Schools Teacher of the Year Breakfast Thursday. Wagner, an English teacher, finished as 1st Runner-Up for district teacher of the year, while Moldovan won district 1st-Class Teacher of the Year. Powell was nominated for Emerging Teacher of the Year. Moldovan serves as a teacher in the CTE Department, while Powell teaches in the Social Studies Department. Congratulations to these amazing teachers.
What a Great Day! Congratulations to Riverside High School teacher Jon Moldovan as he were honored at the annual Greenville County Schools Teacher of the Year Breakfast. Moldovan won district 1st-Class Teacher of the Year. Moldovan serves as a teacher in the CTE Department. Moldovan was recently named a Finalist for SCATLL Induction Teacher of the Year.
14 Straight - Congratulations to the Riverside High School Speech & Debate Team as it won its 14th consecutive South Carolina Forensics Coaches’ Association (State) Tournament Saturday at Greenville High School. The Warriors won the Class AAAAA Championship, won the overall sweepstakes contest, and earned the largest number of individual state championships. Individual champions include Treesa Abraham in Informative Speaking, Juliana Lopez Africano in Novice Reading, Valeria de la Llave in Humorous Interpretation, Stephanie Duan in Declamation, Eli Golob in Poetry Interpretation, Sash Sivaraman in Extemporaneous Speaking, and Enyonam Tolko in Program Oral Interpretation. Representing Riverside Middle School, Lily Tang won Middle Declamation. Seniors Valeria de la Llave, Kai Tucker, and Jeffery Yu serve as team captains.
One for the Thumb! - The Riverside High School Boys Soccer Team defeated Lucy Beckham, 3-1, Saturday to win the Class AAAAA, Division 2 State Championship. It is the Warriors’ 5th straight state championship and the school’s 98th overall championship.
State Champions - Congratulations to the Riverside High School Virtual Enterprise Team as it won its fifth consecutive Virtual Enterprise State Championship in the Fall of 2025. Congratulations to the Warriors and Coach Brad Redd. The Warriors will now prepare to compete at the National Competition in New York City this Spring. The 2024-25 Team also competed at the National Competition and saw success at the National Level.
Happy New Year’s from London - The Riverside High School Pride of Riverside Marching Band performed Wednesday during the Annual London New Year’s Day Parade. Congratulations to all students, teachers and volunteers that helped this occur. Thank you to Band Director Kris Bence for his leadership. The Pride of Riverside also reached new heights in the Fall of 2025 as it scored a school-best 4th Place at the State Marching Band Competition.
The Riverside High School Fine Arts Department achieved at a high level in 2025 as the Concert Band, Chorus and Orchestra all earned Superior Rankings during their respective Concert Performance Assessments (CPAs). Congratulations to Lindsay Brazell (Chorus), Kris Bence & Wes Hipps (Band) and Rich Harbison (Orchestra) for their leadership.
$93,144.67 - Congratulations to the Riverside High School Community as it revealed that it had raised $93,144.67 for Veterans Are Heroes during its 2025 Spirit Week Friday night. Congratulations to the RHS Student Council, and thank you to all that assisted in making this become a reality. Thank you to Advisers Hunter Logan, Sarah McNally and Dillon Fitts for their leadership.
State Champion - Congratulations to Riverside High School Sophomore Ansley Brinkman as she won a pair of Class AAAAA, Division 2 State Swimming Championships Thursday. Brinkman took 1st Place in the 50 and 100 Yard Freestyle Races. 2025 Graduate Ty Jones also won the Class AAAAA, Division 2 State Championship in the 3,200. Jones, who also won the Class AAAAA, Division 2 Cross Country Championship in the Fall of 2024, was named the South Carolina Gatorade Runner of the Year.
Congratulations to all students that were selected as National Merit Finalists and Semifinalists. Congratulations to the Riverside High School HOSA, Youth in Government, Robotics and Academic Teams for their success. Congratulations to our teachers that earned their National Board Certifications and Higher Level Teaching Certifications. Congratulations to our Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment and Future Teachers for all of their success.
