Back to School!
Warriors: We will be starting our 2nd year of our new parking lot design. Please see the attached graphic for more information.
The building opens at 7:45 AM; 1st block begins at 8:45 AM.
Parent drop-off/pick-up: Use Suber Rd., Gate #3 ONLY.
In the loop, merge into one lane near the building, pull forward to drop off, then turn right when exiting.
Gate #2 is for students with a parking pass.
No drop-offs on Hammett Bridge Rd. (bus entrance only).
Arrive early to avoid long lines, especially during the first week.
First Day Reminders
Students should check schedules before coming to school.
Missed orientation? Report to the Gym upon arrival for materials.
Students attending Bonds, Fine Arts, or CTE Innovation Center will report there on Day 1. They should arrive to the Cafeteria by 8:30 a.m., sit towards the front and listen for their bus.
Expectations
During the first week, we’ll review school expectations:
Be kind, work hard, ask for help, get involved.
Graduate College or Career Ready.
Follow rules: tardy policy, dress code, cell phone, attendance, safety codes.
Dress code and cell phone policy will be enforced starting Monday.
No visible cell phones from 8:45–3:45. Parents may contact the front office if needed.
Yearbook Pictures
Underclassmen: Friday, August 15 – dress for pictures!
Attendance & Dismissals
RHS block schedule: 5 absences (semester class) / 3 absences (quarter class).
Early dismissals:
Submit requests by 12:00 PM via Google form. (See Website)
Requests processed in order received—no immediate dismissals without coming into the building.
Open House
Monday, August 18, 6:00–8:00 PM – meet teachers for both semesters (only one Open House this year).

Wagner, Moldovan Honored at Back to School Breakfast
What a Great Day! Congratulations to Riverside High School teachers Dr. Meagan Wagner, Jon Moldovan and Haley Powell as they were honored at the annual Greenville County Schools Teacher of the Year Breakfast Thursday. Wagner, an English teacher, finished as 1st Runner-Up for district teacher of the year, while Moldovan won district 1st-Class Teacher of the Year. Powell was nominated for Emerging Teacher of the Year. Moldovan serves as a teacher in the CTE Department, while Powell teaches in the Social Studies Department. Congratulations to these amazing teachers.
Mark Your Calendar - Please see the attached graphic for all important dates to mark on your calendar for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. More information will be released as each date gets closer; however, for your planning purposes - please save the dates. Please add that Underclassmen Photos will be taken on Friday, August 15.

RHS is on a block schedule, therefore students are allowed 5 absences for a semester class and 3 for a quarter class.
