The Leader in Me
At our school, we are proud to be a Leader in Me School. The Leader in Me program helps students develop leadership, responsibility, confidence, and strong character skills that support success both in and out of the classroom.
The program is based on Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Happy Kids, which teach students important life skills through everyday learning experiences, classroom activities, and schoolwide practices. Students learn how to set goals, solve problems, work well with others, and make positive choices.
The 7 Habits
Be Proactive – Take responsibility for your actions and choices.
Begin with the End in Mind – Set goals and make plans for success.
Put First Things First – Prioritize important tasks and manage time wisely.
Think Win-Win – Look for solutions that benefit everyone.
Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood – Listen to others with empathy and respect.
Synergize – Work together and appreciate the strengths of others.
Sharpen the Saw – Take care of your body, mind, heart, and relationships.
