Classroom Information
Communication
Please be sure and join Backpack. All school messages will be sent out through Backpack. I will use email as well as Backpack to send out reminders and information. Also, I will be using DOJO to send reminders and sometimes pictures of our day. You may also communicate with me with any questions. I may not answer right away, but I will get back to you during my break. I cannot accept any transportation changes through DOJO. This must be done through the office.
Transportation Home from School
If a change in dismissal transportation is needed from the original way it was documented at Meet the Teacher, it must be submitted in writing. Students will be sent home according to their usual dismissal procedures unless there is a written notification signed by the child’s parent. The office will not allow us to accept changes in transportation by phone, DOJO, or email messages.
Folders
Your child will bring home a folder that should be checked daily. Please clean out the folder and return it to school the following day. Use this folder when sending in lunch money, notes, etc. We will check them every morning. When sending in money, please put it in either an envelope or baggie and label it with the child's name, teacher’s name, and how the money should be used.
Change of Clothes
Please send in a change of clothes in the ziploc bag that was sent home with your child. This will stay at school and help us to be prepared in the case of an accident.
Chromebooks and headphones
We will be using Chromebooks at school. Your child will need a pair of headphones that will be kept at school. Please do not send earbuds or wireless headphones.
Supplies
Please refer to the supply list on the FIE website for the requested items. We may ask for additional supplies during the year as we run out.
Breakfast and Lunch
Breakfast and lunch are free for all students. Breakfast is from 7:00-7:35. Our lunch time is 10:20-10:45. We will sit at Table 3. Parents and family members are welcome to join us for lunch. Just sign in at the office first.
Snack
Since we eat lunch so early, we will need a snack during the day. A snack schedule will go home each month. Please refer to the snack schedule to find your day and send in enough individually wrapped snacks for the entire class. If you are unable to provide snacks on your day, please let us know ASAP.
