What we are studying this week?
Math - We are working our last two units in measurement and geomety. We will then start reviewing for our upcoming SC Ready math state test.
Reading- We are reviewing all of our reading standards to prepare for the upcoming SC REady reading state test. Students should be reading for 20 minutes, or more, every night. The more you read the better reader you are. An incentive to learn the love of reading is that our class competes in the 40 book club throughout 5th grade. My hope is that they enjoy reading so much that they will become lifelong readers.
Writing - Students are working on writing an argumentative piece of writing. They need to state a claim and provide evidence to support their claim.
Science - We are working on Unit - Patterns in the NIght Sky.
Social Studies - We will be completing our unit on WWII and starting the Cold War Era.
