Students will not lose points on assignments turned in within the time frame described above.
After seven days or the end of the grading period, the assignment will earn a NHI/ 50 on the grade.
Special arrangements can be made for extenuating circumstances and in some cases require Principal approval.
Make Up Work
Students have five days from the day they return to school to complete all missed assignments to receive full credit.
Assignments can be found on Google Classroom. It is recommended that students complete assignments while they are out unless they are unable to due to sickness or other circumstances. This is the best way keep up with make up work.
It is the responsibility of the students, not the teachers, to arrange for make-up work.
Students are expected to complete make up work during flex, dismissal, or outside of school unless they complete their current classwork early. Students have 30-50 minutes of time in flex each morning to complete make up/ missing work and can get assistance during this time.
Work assigned before the absence or field trip will be due the day the student returns.
Tests assigned before the absence will be taken on the scheduled test date or date arranged with the teacher.
If a student misses a test or quiz while absent, on the first day back, arrangements should be made with the teacher to make up the assessment within five days.
**The above procedures are based on both RMS and District policies.**
