I grew up in the Upstate of South Carolina; living in Laurens, Tigerville, Simpsonville, and Lyman. I attended school in Laurens District 55, graduating from Laurens High School in 2009. In the fall of 2009, I started college at North Greenville University. I graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Social Studies. My first four years teaching were at Laurens Middle School within the Montessori program. I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade social studies. I took graduate courses through Lander University to become certified in middle school social studies in 2014. I completed my Master of Education from Liberty University in May 2025. This is my 9th year teaching at Riverside Middle School and my 13th year teaching in total.
I enjoy reading, running, hiking, and spending time with my husband, family, and friends. My favorite book genres are fantasy, science fiction, historical fiction, historical nonfiction, mystery, and true crime.
