Dear Parent/Guardian, 

I am very excited to start a new year with your child.  This is my seventh year teaching at Greenville High, but my 15th year teaching in Greenville County. Before coming to Greenville High, I taught for 8 years at Beck Academy. I am very passionate about Spanish and hope that your child will share my enthusiasm.  I truly believe that every child can be successful in my classroom with continued support and encouragement from school and at home. Please help me by reemphasizing the importance of Spanish at home. 

I teach two levels of Spanish: 

• Spanish 1 CP

• Spanish 3 Honors

All students will need the following items for my class: 

• Binder/Folder in which to organize material

• Paper

• Pencil

• School-issued Chromebook (please charge it at home)

Optional materials:

• Headphones that will work with a Chromebook 

 If you would like to help with some classroom supplies I can always use whiteboard markers, tissues, regular markers or colored pencils, and candy to give as rewards. 

 We will have a variety of reading, listening, writing, and speaking assignments throughout the semester. Please encourage your child to communicate with me any frustration or discouragement they may feel in my class, and I will always be happy to offer extra assistance if necessary. When struggling, it’s always best to get help earlier than later.   

 All notes, upcoming assignments, and other important materials will be available on Google Classroom.
