About Me

This is my seventh year teaching at Greenville High, but my 15th year teaching in Greenville County. Before coming to Greenville High I taught Spanish at Beck Academy.

I grew up in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina and graduated from Wando High School in 1998. After graduating I attended Clemson University and received a degree in Spanish and International Trade. While attending Clemson I spent a semester studying at Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona, Spain. After graduating from Clemson I worked for two years at Jacobs Engineering in Charleston and Puerto Rico. After a variety of other jobs including teaching surf lessons, substitute teaching, and more engineering work, I decided to go back to school to become a teacher and moved to Greenville. In 2009 I graduated from Clemson with a Master of Arts in Teaching social studies and language arts and quickly added Spanish to my teaching certificate.  I am now married and have an 11-year-old son and an eight-year-old daughter.

In my spare time, I enjoy biking, surfing, camping, and spending time outside with my family.
