Donations

Our club is always in need of a variety of donations!

• Business Professional Clothing: Our club keeps a closet of business professional clothing for any student to wear on tournament days. When cleaning out your closet, think of us when getting rid of blazers, dresses, skirts, dress suits, dress shirts, dress shoes, ties, bowties...

• GHS Tournament Donations: Hosting a tournament is the main source of funds for our club. This year, we will host the GHS tournament on 2/21. To hold a tournament, the following items are needed and may be donated: 

  • • Snack sized boxes of chips and other snacks (will sell to students)

    • Canned soda, bottles of water, other drinks (will sell to students) 

    • Baked goods, candy, desserts (will sell to students and serve judges) 

    • Large cooked/baked casseroles, breakfast foods, snacks, drinks (to serve judges)

• Monetary Donations: Our club will always accept monetary donations! Donations should be made by check to "Greenville High School" with the memo line reading "Speech and Debate." Checks can be dropped off in the front office. Monetary donations help finance: 

  • • Club t-shirts

    • NSDA memberships

    • Bus transportation to out of state tournaments 

    • Transportation, lodging, and fees for the National Speech and Debate tournament held each summer
