My name is Nikki Lyles. My husband, Nick, and I were married in Las Vegas, and for our honeymoon we hiked Havasu Falls—an adventure that reflects our love of the outdoors. I am the proud mother of two wonderful children: my daughter, Grace, who is 10, and my son, Callen, who is 7. Nick is a wonderful stepfather who has embraced them as part of our family.
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Kennesaw State University, completed the GACE in Special Education, and received Orton-Gillingham training through the Schenck School. I have been teaching for more than 20 years, including several years abroad. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to supporting children with learning differences and helping them reach their full potential.
My passion for teaching is deeply personal. Both my daughter and I are dyslexic, and my own experiences with learning differences have shaped the educator I am today. I understand the challenges many students face, and I strive to provide the encouragement, instruction, and advocacy they need to succeed. If I weren't a classroom teacher, I would be a child advocate, continuing my mission of helping children thrive.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy camping and hiking with my family as a way to relax and recharge. We are also actively involved in community service through AHG and Trail Life. When we're not volunteering or exploring the outdoors, you'll usually find us cheering on my son at his baseball games or my daughter at her volleyball matches.

My name is Yolanda Valencia, and I have been working with children for over 20 years. I was raised in the North and moved to the South in 2002. For the past three years, I have had the pleasure of working alongside Nikki in the Intellectual Disabilities (ID) Moderate program. Together, we are committed to creating a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every student can grow and succeed.
I have two daughters of my own who love to dance and swim. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and spending quality time with my family.
I am passionate about helping students reach their fullest potential and feel valued every day. I look forward to another wonderful year of partnering with our students, families, and staff.
My name is Angel Bolden, and I have been working in the field of special education for the past seven years. Throughout my career, I have supported students with a wide range of behavioral needs and have received training in both Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) principles and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI).
I am the proud mother of two wonderful sons—a curious 7-month-old and an energetic 2-year-old who keep me on my toes! In my free time, I enjoy trying new restaurants, taking walks downtown, and making special memories with my children and their father.
I am passionate about helping students succeed by providing a caring, supportive, and positive learning environment. I look forward to working with our students and families and being part of a successful school year.
