Welcome to the Multilingual Learner Program (MLP) at Southside High school! I am Maxine Cassells and I am very excited to start my fourth year working with the GCS MLP program.
The goal of the MLP program is to help our multilingual learners improve their proficiency in English in the areas of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. With the support of all our teachers, administrators, and especially our parents, students can have very successful outcomes. I look forward to getting to meet our parents over the course of this semester! Having frequent communication with the families of my students is important to our program success.
