Hello! My name is Katherine Sinclair. I am a K5 teacher, here at Pelham Road Elementary School. This is my 26th year as a teacher. This is my 14th year at Pelham Road Elementary. It feels like home because Pelham Road is where I went to school as a child! I previously taught 10 years at Chandler Creek Elementary School in Greer and 2 years at Aldersgate Child Development Center.
I was the "Teacher of the Year" at Chandler Creek during the 2006-2007 school year! I was also the "Distinguished Reading Teacher of the Year" during the 2018-2019 school year, here at Pelham Road. I have a BA in Early Childhood Education from Clemson University. Go Tigers! I also have my masters in Elementary Reading and Literacy, along with my "masters plus 30." I love teaching because the children and families make it so rewarding.
I am married to my college sweetheart, Tommy, who is the President of a manufacturing company in Greenville. We have three children. We have a daughter named Allie, who is 20, a son, McCain, who is 18 and our youngest daughter, Mary Katherine ("MK"), is 11. Our children are truly our little blessings. We also have a Goldendoodle named Harper and an orange tabby cat named Tiger!
I love spending time with my family and friends. I also love exercising, running, reading, crafts and my church, Buncombe Street Methodist! Some of my favorites include Clemson Tigers, DeMarcos Italian, Kitchen Sync, the colors teal and pink, dark chocolate, any combination of chocolate and peanut butter, the season of Fall, Athleta, Target, Amazon, Cottage Grove and Trader Joe's!
My Family!
