All About Mrs. Simmons

    My name is Karen Simmons. I am very excited to be a part of the Grove Family. I have taught kindergarten, first grade, third grade, fifth grade and RTI. My educational background consists of an associate’s degree from Greenville Technical College and bachelor’s degree in Science from Anderson University.  I furthered my education receiving a Master’s degree in in Literacy and Classroom Leadership from Southern Wesleyan University. This is my second career after many years in banking. I hold ceretification in Early Childhood, Elementary Education and Reading.

   Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family. I am married to Rex. We have three adult children, a son-in-law, daughter-in-law, three grandchildren, two grand-dogs and a fur baby named Gaston. I also enjoy reading and traveling.
