The Secondary ELA Instructional Framework builds upon the elementary framework to support students as they engage in disciplinary literacy in ELA at the secondary level. The graphic below “is a conceptual tool for organizing instruction . . . [It serves as a guideline] for arranging [instruction] and integrating the curriculum components.
