All About Me

Hello and welcome! My name is Ms. Corkins, and I am beyond excited to be your child's second-grade teacher at Chandler Creek for the 2026–2027 school year!

I am originally from Michigan and have been teaching for 12 years in Michigan, Ohio, Arizona, and South Carolina. I began my career teaching 7th-grade Science in Phoenix, but I soon discovered that my heart belongs in the primary grades. There is nothing more rewarding than helping young learners grow in confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.

When I'm not at school, you'll usually find me spending time with my sweet 11-month-old daughter, Emery. She keeps me on my toes and fills my days with laughter and adventure! I also enjoy exploring new places, being outdoors, reading, and making memories with family and friends.

I am truly looking forward to partnering with you this school year. Together, we'll create a positive learning experience where your child feels valued, challenged, and excited to come to school each day.
