About Me

Hello!

My name is Paula Swanson and I have lived in South Carolina for the past ten years. I live in Honea Path (way out in the country) with my sister, six chickens, four dogs and a tortoise. I am an animal lover! I have three children, one granddaughter, and one grandson on the way in February. Being a grandparent is the very best!

I have been teaching for over 30 years and have spent the last four in SPED Self Contained. I love working with the children and seeing the progress that they make. I believe that all kids can learn if you find the right way to reach them.  I have an earned Master’s Degree and am recognized by the state of South Carolina to be highly qualified in special education. I am passionate about teaching and helping students learn, feel confident in their skills, and build upon academic and personal strengths.
