Hello! My name is Sarah Thompson. This is my seventh year teaching and my first year at Alexander.  I am a highly qualified teacher, and I graduated from University of South Carolina Upstate and have earned my Masters degree in Learning and Technology.  Teaching is a second career for me.  I was a radiologic technologist in Michigan, Washington, and even here, in Greenville.  I love science and hope my enthusiasm for it is passed onto my students. 

  I am a mother to 3 lively soccer players who are 20, 18 and 17.  We love to watch England’s Premier League play and also love to watch La Liga games.  My favorite teams are Chelsea and Barcelona.  My husband is originally from England so we have had the opportunity to travel to his home quite a few times.  We love to travel and take in as much as we can about other cultures and communities. Any time I get to spend outdoors makes me happy.  I am trying to become a better mountain biker this year and I love to garden.  

 I really look forward to building relationships with each of my students and working alongside families to nurture a year of growth.  In the classroom,  I plan to instill a sense of responsibility in each student. I have high expectations academically and socially.
