I am usually reading two or three texts at a time: professional books that help me be better at what I do, kids' books with authors I love to read. and books I read just for FUN! Below are the three I'm reading!!
Do you ever wonder if the world is going by too fast? Well in this special read aloud, Buttons sees a beautiful butterfly. All he wants to do is share this wonder with others, but they're all too busy. This sweet story is a great reminder to just pause...and appreciate the world around you.
I love fiction books and this one makes you realize miracles are all around and sometimes hiding where you least expect them. The classic literature references throughout make this book a treasure!
I continue to read this book over and over to study phonemic awareness strategies for teachers. Phonemic awareness is the ability for kids to manipulate sounds in spoken words, which directly relates to the ability to read words later on. A great read and great reminder of the importance of early literacy skills!
