About Me

Experience

This is my 20th year teaching special education in Greenville County Schools. This is my 7th year at Berea High School. I have taught in a variety of settings including: tutorial/education support, inclusion, self-contained classes (pull-out), and one-on-one in the medical homebound setting. I look forward to the opportunity to work with wonderful students, parents, and coworkers this year. I also enjoy helping with after-school activities like attending sports and other activities.

Personal

My mom and I live here in Greenville. She frequently comes to games and activities here at school. My father passed away in 2022. My mom and I have two cats. I am her primary caregiver.

Tanner and Annie are our cats.

My brother, John, and his wife, Sophie, live in Ohio. My brother is a pastor, firefighter, EMT, chaplain, and fire inspector. Sophie works for the voting offices of Ohio. They have 3 children. Becky, Joshua and Caleb.

Caleb, my nephew, has an Associates in Business and is working at an Aldi warehouse in Ohio.

Joshua, my nephew, is engaged to Isabella, and he is a 2nd semester Senior in the fall at BJU.

Becky, my niece, is engaged to Seth and is a Senior at Bob Jones University.

Multiple and Severe Disabilities Certification by taking classes at the College of Charleston, the University of Phoenix, & Furman University

Interests

On the weekends and summers, I enjoy going to church and spending time with family and friends. I like to travel, take photos, garden, cook, read, swim, make jewelry, scrapbook, watch movies/musicals, and play sports or games.
