Chromebook not working at home?

Make sure you try to authenticate first. The Chromebooks are supposed to automatically authenticate, however many of them are needing to authenticate. Basically, click on the globe with the lock at the bottom of your screen and it will ask you for your username and password. Log in like you do normally and then you should be able to use the site you were trying to go to (unless blocked by the firewall).

Need help with reading things aloud?

Snap and Read Google extension reads aloud and is approved by the district. It's available for our students to install if needed. It works within Google Docs and a number of other programs. Check it out @ snapandread.com. Scroll down to add it from the Google Play store.

From the Library - eBooks:

If you don't have enough library books checked out to get you through the next couple of weeks, you can get ebooks on your phone, Chromebook, or computer, using the Sora app.  You'll find hundreds of books available through Greenville County Schools and the Greenville County Public Library.

For the county library, you will need your library card number and your pin, which is the last four digits of your telephone number when you got your card.

Attached are instructions for Sora.

Email the Media Center specialists if you have any questions.
