Hello everyone, this is Coach Langford. I love teaching, especially teaching P.E.! I will work each day to help my students learn and grow!

I am from the small town of Belton, SC. I graduated from Belton-Honea Path High School in 2013.  I attended Anderson University. I graduated AU in the fall of 2017 with a B.S. - Physical Education. While growing up and in school, I played soccer, basketball, baseball, football and pole vault.

Teaching Career Highlights

2017-2018 Long Term Substitute at Palmetto Middle School

2018-2022 PE Teacher at Northwest Middle School

2022-Present PE Teacher at Armstrong Elementary School

A little more about me: I absolutely love playing, competing, and making myself and others bigger, faster, and stronger. My favorite sports include football, baseball, track and field, and leisure style games like kan-jam, horseshoes, bocce, and Kubb. I also like to play card games, chess, and work puzzles. My favorite professional sports teams include the Green Bay Packers, Atlanta Braves, Golden State Warriors, and my favorite college teams are the Clemson Tigers and Anderson University Trojans. I believe that being outside is better than being inside. I love to spend my summer days camping, fishing, and doing yardwork.

I am the wide receiver coach for Travelers Rest football and I coach sprints, hurdles, and pole vault for the Travelers Rest track and field squad.

I live in Travelers Rest with my wife Elizabeth, our cats Harlee & Dottie, and our tortoises Timmy & Duggy.

In my Physical Education class, your child will be engaged, learning, and moving. I will educate them on how to be strong and healthy and the many reasons why it is so important. I believe in the power of teamwork and building community among students, teachers, and families. I also believe in the power of laughter. If I’m not laughing, I’m not living. Everyday my goal is for your child to leave the gym tired, sweaty, and with a good attitude.
