Physics

Welcome to Physics 1! Within this course, we will cover classical mechanics (1d motion, 2d motion, rotational motion, work, energy & power) and begin learning about electromagnetic forces. By the end of the course, students will be able to converse about the underlying principals of physics (The How and the Why) and solve equations algebraically (The What).

All assignments and important announcements will be posted on Google Classroom.

Mr. Anderson and Physics

Physics has been a life long passion for me. As a high school student, I excelled in physics and served as the vice president of my high school's physics club. I hoped to have my love of physics lead me into a career in the US Navy, but was denied entry on a medical basis. When I returned to school to complete my undergraduate education, I graduated Cum Laude from Furman University with a BS in Physics. While attending Furman, I was inducted into Sigma Pi Sigma and the Society of Physics Students. Since graduation, I have continued to explore physics by seeking out educational and research opportunities with NASA to bring physics to the classroom.

It is my sincere hope that I can inspire you to love physics.
