About the Classroom

Room 342 in the Business Education Department is equipped with (29) workstations for a one/one computing experience for students. All District policies will apply related to use of technology in the classroom. Students will not need their cellphones during class and should ensure all phones are turned off and put away. I will ask any student who has a phone out, to please put it away.

The classroom rules are very simple and are designed to introduce the workplace expectations to the students. Personal responsibility and the requirement to treat everyone with respect are the foundation of everything we will learn.

All of the Business Education courses are designed to help students acquire the skills necessary to achieve success in high school and beyond. There will be an emphasis on both written and oral communication, critical thinking skills, and the expectations for being a valued employee.

Tardy Policy

Please refer to the student handbook for the updated tardy policy. Students late to class will not be admitted until they go to the Attendance Office to receive a tardy slip.

Bathroom Policy

Students will always be excused to use the restroom during class. After three (3) passes during a semester, students may need to stay after school to make up missed class time.

Please provide documentation if a medical condition requires frequent trips to the restroom.

I am available after school on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:45 - 4:45 for anyone who needs additional help. Please try to schedule an after school stay in advance. Bus transportation is provided on these days for students who need to stay. I can also meet with students before school, but this will require advance notice and a pass will be provided.

We look forward to a great school year!
