Major Assessment/Calculation of Grades: Evaluation of Student Progress
Students will be notified 1 week before a test is given.
Projects will be assigned with rubrics outlining how each project will be scored. Students will always know up front what they must do to earn an A.
Quizzes will be given throughout the year to assess understanding of the material.
Daily assignments will be used to assess what the student has learned that day.
All assignments will be posted on Google Classroom. If you are absent, you can access the assignments.
Grading Scale
A 90 – 100
B 80 – 89
C 70 – 79
D 60 – 69
F 50 or Below
Grading Procedures:
Projects/Unit Tests/Major Assignments (2-3 per quarter) 50%
Daily Work/Quizzes/Minor Assignments (8-10 per quarter) 50%
League Academy holds each student responsible for their education. In this regard, student self-advocacy is important for creating intrinsic motivation to complete work on time with mastery.
Please fill out this form if you wish to complete a redo on any MAJOR assignment.
The student must:
Submit the teacher's Retake/Redo Request Form within 5 school days after the grade is posted.
Have submitted all minor assignments associated with the instructional unit.
Complete teacher-directed remediation or relearning before reassessment.
Coordinate the reassessment with the teacher during an agreed-upon intervention time. Student can only retake Major assessments once.
The highest score will be recorded in the gradebook.
