Hello, My name is Rosa (aka Rose) Childers and this is my 14th year at Hollis Academy as an ML (Multilingual Language) teacher. I'll be working with K-5 and 1st grade ML students. I'm so excited to be working with your child this school year! I will be working with a push-in and pull-out instruction model to help support your child's academic needs. I graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and got my alternative teaching certificate in 1997. I moved here with my family from Texas 14 years ago. I'm starting my 29th year of teaching. I have taught ESOL (K-5 to 8th), and 1st, 3rd and 4th grade. I have taught in Texas, North Carolina and South Carolina. I am a highly qualified certified teacher and can teach ESOL and Elementary Education. I've been married 34 years to my husband, Todd and we have a daughter named Isabella. She just became Dr. Childers at Texas A&M University and soon will be moving to Florida to work with sharks.
