Welcome! My name is Roxana Graciela Ortiz the Clinical Mental Health Counselor at Berea High School.
I received my Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and received an Education Specialization degree from Clemson University in May 2025. I am currently on my path towards being fully licensed as a professional counselor. I have a License Professional Counselor- Associate (LPC-A) which allows me to practice while being under the supervision of a License Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S).
I have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment disorder, and suicidality. My approach is strengths based, person-centered, and grounded in the idea of helping students and families improve in overall functioning. My education lies within strengths based approach, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution focused interventions and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I am also a clinician who is Bilingual in Spanish and English. I aim to be a resource that all students and families can access.
