SHARE Birth to Five is a school readiness program that provides comprehensive child development services to eligible families. The overall purpose is to provide a program that will give preschool children and their families a variety of experiences which will broaden their horizons and their understanding of the world in which they live, expand their thinking, improve their health, build self-confidence and self concepts that will better assist them living with themselves and others.
A highly trained staff of 300 works with the children and their families in a variety of settings to provide a strong foundation for school readiness and long term success in school and later life. The program addresses the educational, social, emotional, and physical well-being of children from disadvantaged families, providing a strong foundation for school readiness and for long term success in school and later life.

PROGRAM OPTIONS:
Head Start:
Provides comprehensive child development services to 3 to 5 year old children and their families to prepare them for success in public school and beyond.
Early Head Start:
Provides early, continuous, intensive and comprehensive child development and family support services on a year-round basis to children under age three and pregnant women.
ABC Voucher System
Provides child care services from 2:30 -5:30 pm to participants parents who are working, in job training, or enrolled in school
ABC Voucher System Summer Extended Day:
Provides Head Start parents who are working, in training, or in school full day child care for Head Start children and their siblings (ages 5 - 12). This program operates from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm.

ABC SC Voucher
SC Voucher makes payments to child care providers to care for children from low-income families so their parents can work.
Parent income must be below 150% of the federal poverty level based on family size for entrance into the SC Voucher Program; for a family of 4 this would be $36,375 annually.
SC Voucher supports work; parents must be working or attending school or training in order to be eligible for child care services.
