About Ms. Fenton

Welcome!

My name is Katelyn Fenton and I am very excited to be teaching Orchestra and Piano at PJFMS for my third year.

I was born in Lansdale, Pennsylvania but moved to New Zealand when I was 5, which is where my family still lives. I have always loved music so I began playing the violin at the age of 5, and started piano in 6th grade. During my senior year of high school, I had the opportunity to assist the orchestra and choir director which is when I developed a passion for teaching and decided to pursue it further. I moved from New Zealand to South Carolina for college where I studied Music Education, and graduated with my bachelors degree.

This summer, I got engaged to David in the middle of Central Park, NYC after seeing my favorite Broadway Musical. I'm looking forward to becoming Mrs. Ohler in June 2019!

When I am not teaching, I enjoy hiking, baking, collecting candles, exploring different coffee shops and spending time with my sweet boxer mix dog named Walter.

Here are a few of my favorite things:

• Places to Shop: Hobby Lobby, Target, Bath & Body Works.
• Places to Eat: Chick-fil-A, Olive Garden, Taco Bell.
• Drinks: Coffee, coffee, and more coffee.
• Candy: M&Ms, Recees, dark chocolate.
