Welcome to the 2026 - 2027 school year.  I look forward to working with all of you to help each student reach their full potential, in Reading, and in Character development.

We will foster lifelong learners who are responsible, productive citizens by encouraging involvement, growth and reflection through student-centered learning.

News:  For the 2026-27 school year, I am teaching 4 periods of Literacy Lab using the Read 180 program, and 2 periods of Co-teach ELA.  

Reading Intervention, or "Literacy Lab"  uses the Read 180 reading program.  It is an excellent reading program for students who test below their grade level.  Students can make a lot of growth if they work hard.  The goal for all students is to improve their MAP RIT scores by their "Expected Growth," (which is one year's reading growth, or 4-7 RIT points).  We will be taking the MAP test to determine Lexile level three times a year (Beginning, Middle, and End of Year).  If a student meets their yearly goal by increasing their MAP RIT score they will be invited to an end-of-year celebration (Pizza Party).  Students are able to work from home in the case of an absence, or eLearning days.   Please see Google Classroom for student assignments when eLearning from home.
