About Me

Hello, my name is Kirby-Annah Philpot and I am very excited to be teaching my eleventh year at Augusta Circle this year. For my first four years at ACE I taught fifth grade. This is my seventh year teaching second grade. During college I did a practicum in second grade at Mountain View Elementary in 2012.

I also did a student teaching in fifth grade with Ms. Murphy at this school in 2013 and I just fell in love with the wonderful community here. I have grown up living in Greenville all of my life and I attended Furman University where I received a major in Elementary Education and a masters in Early Childhood Education.

Spending quality time with today's youth is one of my passions. While I do enjoy teaching students, I enjoy learning new things every day from them as well. I love for my classroom to be a family oriented environment where everyone feels comfortable to be themselves and contribute to the class.

When I am not in the classroom teaching I enjoy spending time with friends, family, and my french bulldog named Gucci. I enjoy going to concerts and sporting events for the Carolina Panthers and Carolina Gamecocks, playing lots of sports like volleyball and tennis, and traveling the world!

The picture of me above was taken when I was in New Zealand visiting the primary schools offered there. I am so excited for the 2023-2024 school year.
