All About About Me
I am a Greenville native and attended Greenville County Schools.
I am a graduate of Winthrop University and hold a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology/Health.
My daughter, a University of South Carolina alumna, is currently pursuing her master's degree in School Counseling at Virginia Commonwealth University. My son is a student at the University of South Carolina, double-majoring in Computer Science and Media Arts, and proudly plays in the drumline of the Gamecock marching band (The MIGHTY SOUND OF THE SOUTHEAST).
I have worked with the Greenville County School District for 17 years. This is my 4th year at Northwood. My past positions include: classroom assistant, library clerk, and Special Ed Emotional Disabilities Teacher (K-2nd grade).
Fun Facts: (1) I attended Northwood Middle School waaaaay back in the 1980s.
(2) I am a Carolina Gamecock fan--I especially love watching Gamecock football and Gamecock women's basketball.
(3) I enjoy knitting, reading, acupuncture, and taking daily walks.
(4) I have a kitten named Poppy.
(5) Teaching is my second career.
