Hi! My name is Margaret Walser, and this is my fifth year of teaching here in the Greenville area. I am a graduate of Converse College where I received my Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education. I moved to Greenville four summers ago from my original home of Greensboro, NC, and am thoroughly enjoying the abundance of arts that it has to offer. My main instrument is the violin, which I have played since kindergarten. I began studying as a Suzuki student, and since then have performed in many orchestras in both Greensboro and Spartanburg.
Due to the size and quality of GMA's orchestra program, I am honored to be one of two directors here. Music is an amazing form of communication, intelligence, and an important creative outlet, and I am so excited to share my love of it with my students! Because of this, I thoroughly love teaching middle students to communicate in new and exciting ways using string instruments.
