Hello, my name is Signe Pereira, and I am so excited to begin my eighth year at RMS. My teaching career began back in Boston, Massachusetts, where I taught science for 20 years.
I am a dedicated practitioner of “hands-on/mind-on” learning. I strongly believe that students learn best when they are able to physically manipulate and interact with the world around them.
Outside of school, I love spending time with family and friends as well as walking with my dogs through the mountain trails and peach orchards around my home. My hobbies include cooking, baking, swimming, yoga, knitting, and playing the violin. I also love to travel and have visited many incredible places, such as the Caribbean, Europe, Canada, and Asia.
In my spare time, I teach conversational English in South Korea.
