Language Arts
Instruction will occur using a rotation system between whole group and small groups. This instruction will be assisted with an online program called Read 180.
All reading materials will be cataloged.
Math
Q1: Place Value, Rounding, Operations (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division)
Q2: Telling Time, Counting Money
Q3: 2-Step Equations, Symbols (=, <, >), Fractions
Q4: Budgeting, Shopping
The learning program IXL will be used throughout the year alongside instruction.
Social Studies
Q1: Family History, Personal Information (Address, Emergency Contacts)
Q2: South Carolina/ Local History
Q3: US Geography
Q4: American Government
Science
Program: Achieve 3000
Units: Cells, Ecosystems, Plants, Genetics
Throughout the year we will be incorporating frequent lessons on social skills and life skills (cooking, laundry, safety).
