⭐ Greetings Parents!
Welcome families! I’m so excited to work with you and your child this year in second grade. Your support means the world, and together we’ll make this a fun, successful, and meaningful school year! Below is some important information to help us stay connected and organized:
🤩 Behavior/Classroom Management
I am so excited to begin this school year and partner with you to help your child have a successful year! In our classroom, we will use a positive behavior system called the Super Improver System from Whole Brain Teaching. This system is designed to celebrate student growth, effort, responsibility, and improvement while helping students build strong classroom habits.
The goal of the Super Improver System is to encourage students to always work toward becoming their best selves. Students are not competing against one another; instead, they are working to improve from where they are and celebrate their own progress.
Throughout the day, students will have opportunities to earn stars for showing positive behaviors such as:
Being ready to learn
Following classroom expectations
Showing kindness and respect
Participating and trying their best
Demonstrating responsibility
Making positive choices
As students collect stars, they will move through different levels on their Super Improver Wall. Each new level represents growth, effort, and achievement. Students will celebrate their progress as they work toward becoming classroom leaders!
Our focus is always on growth, not perfection. If a student makes a mistake, we will use it as a learning opportunity to reflect, make a better choice, and continue improving. This system allows students to see that small, positive changes each day can lead to big accomplishments.

I believe clear and consistent communication is key to a great school year! I will stay in touch through:
Weekly newsletters (sent home in folders and/or by email)
Emails for important updates and reminders
Phone calls when needed for more personal communication
📬 Please check your child’s folder daily for notes, newsletters, and other important papers.
